Orbx continues to develop UK airports with the latest announcement from John Venema coming on the forums. The new airport in development is Newcastle (EGNT) up in the north of England. To accompany the announcement, John shared a couple of renders of the 3D modelling of the terminal building.
Newcastle Airport (EGNT) serves over 5.4 million passengers per year from across the globe. From domestic routes to the likes of Bristol, Exeter and London to international routes across Europe including France, Spain and beyond. Long-haul carrier Emirates also frequents the airport with a Boeing 777-300ER on the 7,600ft runway, making for some harsh stopping upon landing and speedy takeoffs.
Details are very light on the ground outside of this announcement and also confirmation that the airport is coming to both Prepar3D and X-Plane. Perhaps this will also be a simultaneous release like what Edinburgh will be upon release.
