Orbx’s indie developer, Rasha Tucakov, has announced that he is hard at work on Podgorica Airport (LYPG) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Located in the Balkan country of Montenegro, the airport will be a scenic place to visit in the simulator.
Whilst the airport’s size may be small, it can offer quite the challenge to pilots thanks to the nearby mountainous terrain. There’s also a pretty tough circle-to-land visual approach into the southernly runway, whilst the north has a great VOR approach over Lake Skadar. Perfect for Boeing or Airbus drivers.

As with his past airports, Rasha has taken pride to ensure the airport is highly detailed and modelled based on the latest information. There are plenty of features both airside and landside, along with an interior modelling of the main terminal building. The runway is also sloped, whilst the dynamic lighting adds a layer of realism to the airport.
Rasha has already released two Microsoft Flight Simulator airports; Niš Constantine the Great Airport and Zadar Airport, both of which are currently on sale.
There’s not a release date yet specified for Podgorica Airport, but the product page is live, indicating a pretty imminent release from Orbx. As always, we will keep you posted.
