Orbx has today announced that they will soon be releasing a brand new version of their London City Airport (EGLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The new version of London City Airport comes 3 years after the release of the original on Microsoft Flight Simulator, which released alongside the simulator back in August 2020. A lot at the airport has since changed such as the new taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, new parking stands and the remote digital control tower. You can see some previews of it below.

In addition to making changes that reflect what has happened at the airport itself, Orbx has taken the learnings from the past 3 years and applied it to the new airprot using new interior modelling, custom ground poly and all-new texture work. Furthermore, the airport also integrates seamlessly with Orbx’s Landmarks London to give you the complete and more immersive experience possible.
Version 2 of London City Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator will come with a small upgrade fee for previous owners. This will include a completely rebuilt version of the airport, along with all the new features, modelling and texture work.
The timing of the announcement comes just a few days after UK2000 Scenery announced their rendition of London City for MSFS. Both airport products will feature the most up-to-date layout at the London airport.
No specific date was mentioned, but the Facebook post says that version 2 will be available soon. FSElite will keep you updated with any news.
