Hot off the heels of the release of TrueEarth Great Britain South for X-Plane 11, Orbx has today announced that EHGI Southampton Airport will be soon heading to X-Plane 11.
Southampton Airport in the UK is one of FlyBe’s largest hubs, so expect to fly the Q400 between Europe and parts of the UK from the airport. Other season airlines include Volotea, easyJet Swiss and KLM.
Building on the tools developed by Orbx for X-Plane, Southampton Airport will include realistic day and night lighting, which has been blended into with TrueEarth GB South. Users can also expect details to be realistic and optimised for good performance within the simulator. Furthermore, there are animated ground services, static aircraft and many custom buildings scattered around to give you the most immersive experience.
It should be noted that Southampton has been designed with TrueEarth GB South in mind, meaning that whilst it will work independently there may be a few errors including missing/misplaced forests, buildings and a lack of photoreal blending.
It’s not yet released, but Southampton Airport will be available to purchase from OrbxDirect soon for AUD $32.95 (approx. USD $24.35 / €21 / £18.50).
