Orbx has confirmed they will soon be bringing Bastia Poretta Airport to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Coming from developer Matteo Veneziani, the holiday destination airport sees a variety of airline, GA and helicopter traffic visit. Located on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica, Bastia Poretta Airport is surrounded by natural beauty and mountainous terrain.
As with other recent airports from the Orbx indies team, there is a focus on ensuring that the airport fits in with the scenery in Microsoft Flight Simulator and with high-quality textures and buildings. It’s also confirmed that Matteo has implemented custom wig-wag and dynamic taxiway lighting, along with new ground service equipment and static aircraft. Sloping runways, detailed vegetation and accurate apron markings will also come with the airport.
According to the developer’s post, the scenery is at “an advanced stage of development” and that we can expect more information and screenshots in the coming week.
