Orbx continues to build airports that fit in with TrueEarth US Washington by announcing that 1S2 Darrington Municipal Airport is currently in development for X-Plane 11. The news follows on from the announcement of 74S Anacortes, as another airport that has been designed to blend in with the TrueEarth product.
Darrington Municipal Airport, sat right next to Whitehorse Mountain has a range of views to enjoy as you fly low and slow around the region. Whether you’re flying around the Glacier Peaks Wilderness or the North Cascades National Park, there is a range of areas to explore.
The airport features high-resolution 30/60cm pixel imagery, along with the accurate watermasks for the rivers and seamless blending with TrueEarth US Washington. The entire airport and towm of Darrington has been fully modelled, all based on photos which were taken on location. As always, the usual caveat in that the product will work fine without TrueEarth US Washington, but users may experience a few visual problems.
1S2 Darrington Municipal Airport will be available to purchase from Orbx soon for AUD $32.95. Users who already own the FSX/P3D version will receive 40% discount on the upcoming X-Plane 11 version.
