Scenery developer OnFinal Studio has released Kirkenes Airport (ENKR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Located in the upper eastern region of Norway, Kirkenes Airport features a single runway that presents pilots with challenging approaches due to steep glide slopes and specific wind conditions. In 2006, a new terminal building was constructed to cater to the growing number of passengers.
Daily flights to Oslo and Tromsø are available through Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle, which utilize their Airbus A320’s and Boeing 737’s. Widerøe operates De Havilland Canada Dash 8 turboprop aircraft, connecting various airports in the region, such as Alta, Hammerfest, Mehamn, Båtsfjord, and Berlevåg.
OnFinal has included a range of features including 3D models of all buildings, custom made objects around the airport and corrected the terrain around the airport. Night lighting and PBR is included with the airport.
