The team behind OnAir Airline Manager has announced a new companion application designed to enhance the experience for virtual airline operators and pilots. The new platform is now entering a seven-day free open beta period, giving users an opportunity to explore a range of new features before its full release.
The Companion App introduces a completely redesigned interface focused on improved usability and performance, while also adding support for multiple languages. According to the team, the new platform is intended to become a central hub for pilots looking for more than just flight tracking and airline management.
One of the headline additions is integration with VATSIM events. Users will be able to browse a full events calendar, discover upcoming community activities, and quickly find flights that align with scheduled events across the network.
The app also introduces a new “ready-to-fly” charter system. Pilots can select pre-configured routes, launch directly into their flights, and earn in-game revenue upon completion without the need to create their own schedules or flight plans beforehand.
Beyond flight operations, the Companion App includes AviationQuiz, a new educational feature designed to test aviation knowledge across nine different subject areas. Players can tackle three difficulty levels and earn reputation points as they progress, adding a new progression element outside of flying itself.
The announcement reflects OnAir’s continued effort to expand its platform beyond traditional airline management tools, creating additional ways for users to engage with aviation and the wider flight simulation community.
