The Taylorcraft BC-12D is a product we have been covering for a little while and the team are now just a short while away from releasing it to the flight sim world. The official trailer has landed (produced by AviationLads) and shows us what to expect once the plane has been released.
Got Friends has been sharing insight into the bush plane for a while, highlight a new dynamic engine that brings the plane to life. It’s all physics-based, meaning you will have to treat the aircraft carefully in order to fly it correctly. Leave a door open and expect it to react accordingly, for example. Inside the plane, watch loose items and handles react accordingly to the motion and movement of your flying.
Other features shown off in the trailer include the ability to use the float version of the plane and then use a virtual oar in order to push off away from shallow water. There will also be plenty of options, including smoke, different landing gear styles, and liveries.
We also learned that the official release date will be September 1st 2026. It will be made available exclusively through the in-sim Marketplace for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
