Scenery developer NZA Simulations has released Nelson Airport and Motueka Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Both airports are released under the ProLine brand and represent the high standard that NZA Simulations has set themselves.
Starting with Nelson Airport, this payware scenery product comes with over 250 custom assets and over 9000 hand-placed objects throughout the airport area. The development team has worked with the airport management team to recreate the airport in amazing detail with many of the airport’s buildings present and accurate. Such areas include the Air NZ Regional Maintenance and Cargo buildings, fuel farms, GA hangars, Nelson Aero Club and more. Other enhancements include lifelike ground textures, corrected tree heights and also animated advertising and departure screens. The team has also corrected the RNAV approaches and also added in RNAV-B since it was missing from within the simulator.
Nelson Airport is located on New Zealand’s South Island and is the sixth-largest airport in the country. It regularly sees traffic from Air New Zealand, Originair and Sounds Air to numerous destinations across the country.
In addition, NZA Simulations has also released Motueka Airport (NZMK) as freeware. Located just 15nm away from Nelson Airport, this is a great aerodrome for a quick hop to the area. Often used by the Nelson Drag Racing Association, the airport will immediately enable you to access some of the country’s areas of natural beauty. Over 80 custom assets are included, with all hangars, buildings and local flying clubs modelled. In fact, you will be able to see some of the drag racing events on the runway the days they actually happen. You will need the NZA Model Library in order to use the scenery.
If you want to download Motueka Airport, you can do so from the NZA Simulations website for free.
