NZA Simulations has officially released Proline NZMC & NZGT – Mount Cook Region 2024 V2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Built exclusively for MSFS 2024, the new version completely rebuilds the Mount Cook region with upgraded terrain detail, enhanced environmental systems, improved airports, and expanded landmark coverage throughout Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park.
The release includes fully rebuilt versions of Mount Cook Airport (NZMC) and Glentanner Aerodrome (NZGT), alongside additional operational locations including Twizel Medical Centre Heliport (NZTW) and the Mount Cook Village Emergency / DOC Operations Site (NZMD). According to NZA Simulations, all airport buildings and huts have been recreated using the new MSFS 2024 SimProp system for improved visual fidelity and performance.

V2 has seen extensive terrain and water rework throughout the region. NZA Simulations has rebuilt the Mount Cook airport area using updated elevation data, recreated Lake Pukaki with new imagery and water masking, and fully overhauled Tasman Lake with improved shoreline detail, docks, rafts, and rebuilt icebergs. The Tasman River system has also been reworked across the scenery.
The developer has also introduced enhanced snow transition layers around Mount Cook and Glentanner, a new bio-vegetation system, upgraded lighting for hangars and buildings, and refreshed runway, taxiway, and apron materials using displacement techniques for added realism.
The scenery package also includes a wide range of alpine huts and regional landmarks accurately positioned throughout the Southern Alps. Included locations feature Plateau Hut, Mueller Hut, Ball Hut, Hooker Hut, Kelman Hut, Sefton Bivouac, The Hermitage Hotel, and Glentanner Park Centre.
Mount Cook Region 2024 V2 is available now for €18.99. Existing customers can upgrade with a 20% discount through the NZA Simulations webstore, Orbx Central, and the Microsoft Marketplace (when available).
