Developer Nimbus Simulations Studios has announced that they are developing a BN-2B Islander for X-Plane 11. Very few details were shared, but Nimbus did indicate that the aircraft would feature failures. To accompany the announcement, a range of previews were also shared.
In response to the fact that developers TorqueSim are releasing their BN-2B Islander for X-Plane 11 on Friday, Nimbus said that “Sometimes is complicated to know what others are working on, when they announced their model we already had invested a lot of time on ours, and I think that a project should be announced after certain milestones have been reached.” Nimbus then continued “For sure both models will have different features, we are aiming for a very good flight model, 3D and texture details plus a lot of animations and details to bring the immersion to a higher standard, many of the features on the UH-1 will be present on the Islander.”
