Scenery developer Nimbus Simulation Studios has released previews on their Facebook page of the first update soon coming to their current Atlanta v2 release.
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport (KATL), located in the state of Georgia, is the busiest airport in the World with over 100 million passenger movements. Although mainly a domestic connections airport, Atlanta is known as the gateway to America and handles international flights from airlines such as British Airways, American and it’s the main hub of Delta.
Nimbus simulations has recreated Atlanta airport to a high level of detail but there is more to come in the latest update. On a previous post, the developer told us that the update will include the classic Atlanta red colour on the terminal buildings, colour matched ortho, 3D grass among other features and bug fixes. For full features, check out the change log below. Nimbus has also previews the airport with a plethora of screenshots that display the huge airport in all its glory.
Although we are told the update nears completion, we are not provided with a release date just yet. The update will be free to all version 2 owners. If you don’t fall under that bracket, you can purchase KATL version 2 from the X-Plane store for $28 which converts to around £21.40/€25.20.
