Developer Sonicziz has found a way to improve the aircraft and location menus within Microsoft Flight Simulator, thanks to their new tool sets.
Both tools are designed to help you save time when in the menu system of the sim. It’s also a way to refine what you’re looking for, save notes, add favourites, and more. Both the aircraft and location manager overhaul the in-sim menus giving you more options and settings than before.
The Aircraft Manager allows you to control presets quickly and automatically, whilst the ability to save notes allows you to save relevant information against each aircraft installed. Furthermore, there is an auto convert feature which will change the units from metric to imperial (and vice versa) at the click of a button. Overall, the aircraft manager now gives you a lot more options.
As for the Location Manager tool, you will be able to use it to start anywhere in the world, save up to 200 locations and sort airports based on a range of criteria. As with the aircraft manager, you can adjust the menus to your liking as it overhauls the main menu in the simulator.
There is free versions of both products for those looking to test the waters and see if any of the features will be helpful. There are limitations within the free version (such as filters, number of locations that can be saved and the lack of ability to leave notes), but it should be enough to give you a taste of what to expect from Sonicviz’s product.
