Navigraph took to the stage at FSExpo to announce several new features and products. These include support for oceanic tracks in Simbrief, Epic 2 Avionics and new VFR charts covering Brazil, South East Asia, and parts of the Middle East.
Navigraph’s presentation started with CTO Stephen O’Connell quickly looking back at some of the features the developer has announced and released in the last year. These include Navigraph Academy, where users can learn to fly and put their skills to the test in the simulator, Scratchpad for Charts, and most recently, Navigraph’s partnership with Flightradar24, allowing developers to integrate and present air traffic and real time.
Oceanic Tracks
Oceanic tracks are a new feature available in Navigraph’s Charts application. They will display real world oceanic tracks and cover both North Atlantic Tracks (NATs) and Pacific Organised Track System (PACOTS). The Charts app will display the track validity, entry and exit points, and other restrictions.
VFR Charts Expansion
Navigraph is expanding their VFR charts coverage to several new parts of the world. Most notably the developer showcased Brazil, which will be covered in its entirety, and South East Asia, covering several countries. The VFR charts coverage is also expanding to select places in the Middle East.
The new VFR charts are available in high detail, in high resolution, allowing virtual aviators all the information they might need to plan and fly along their VFR routes.
Epic 2 Avionics for MSFS 2024
Another new feature announced by Navigraph are the Epic 2 Avionics for MSFS 2024. This upgraded avionics package will be available in the PC-12 and PC-24. The avionics package will add charts, as well as Simbrief integration to the Epic 2 avionics suite. The aircraft will be able to load and display SIDs and STARs for your route, and once selected, show the charts related to these waypoints. The integration also features moving charts, allowing you to pan around.
