World Update 19: Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana has been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
This long-awaited free update is now available for all Microsoft Flight Simulator users, featuring stunning natural landscapes, recreated vibrant cities, landmarks, and more. The Microsoft Flight Simulator team partnered with Bing Maps, Maxar and Vexcel to deliver this vast update, fusing several types of recent geospatial data, aerial photographs, satellite imagery, DEM (digital elevation data) and DTM (digital terrain model data) to bring the most realistic imagery to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
World Update 19 features 75 POIs throughout Brazil, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, Fort Zeelandia, Fort Diamant and Monte Roraima. Four TIN cities, all located in Brazil: Brasilia, Ouro Preto, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Seven handcrafted airports have also been included, developed by Gaya Simulations:
Brazil
Santarem-Maestro Wilson Fonseca International Airport (SBSN)
Foz do Iguacu International Airport (SBFI)
Fernando de Noronha Airport (SBFN)

Local Legend 20: The CAP-4 Paulistinha
Microsoft Flight Simulator has also launched its latest Local Legend aircraft, the CAP-4 Paulistinha, a Brazilian light aircraft developed in the 1940s by Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista (CAP). It was designed as a trainer aircraft for flight schools and shares similarities to the American Piper Cub. It is powered by a Franklin 4AC 4-cylinder piston engine that produces up to 65 horsepower, has a range of 310 miles, a cruise speed of 87MPH and a service ceiling of 13,000ft.
Microsoft Flight Simulator partnered with iniBuilds to develop the CAP-4 Paulistinha and it comes with six liveries: N505, PP-HCP, PP-HIY, PP-HLJ, PP-TJR, and PT-ZGA. It is available free of charge to all users of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as promised as a “make good” for their patience with the issues encountered during launch.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 owners can purchase the CAP-4 Paulistinha from the MSFS Marketplace for $14.99.
