Users of Microsoft Flight Simulator have probably already noticed that the simulator is currently experiencing some issues with the live streaming of data. A large amount of users have been reporting issues on the official MSFS forums with live streaming data from Azure.
The issue causes low textures in the sim, and incorrect data (buildings, roads, etc.). Photogrammetry data is missing entirely. The map from the start screen also does not seem to load accurate data and instead goes to a low detail and incorrect default map.
Microsoft has not yet commented on the issues, nor has Asobo. However, the bug has been officially ‘logged’ on the forums, so it’s safe to assume the development team is aware and investigating. Some users have reported that their issues are solved after restarting the simulator, or resetting their data limit settings in the sim. But so far, no solution has been fully confirmed yet as a fix. We’ll keep this article up to date in case more news regarding the issue comes out.
