MSFS 2024 Sim Update 6 Beta 1.8.9.0 Available Now

On the 24th of July, 2026, Microsoft published the second update in the Sim Update 6 Beta program since it was made available to the public earlier this month. This brings the MSFS 2024 Sim Update 6 Beta to version 1.8.9.0.

The headline change is a fix to WASM systems loading and error handling, which caused infinite loading times for some aircraft like the ES30. Additionally, a new option was added to allow pilots to enable and disable mouse acceleration for Cockpit and External cameras.

Minor pilot-facing fixes also include reworked camera orders and fixes to the flight outro scene.

Garmin glass panels including the G3000/G5000 and G3X touch received a fix to correct flight director behavior when first toggled on.

The UNS-1Ew SBAS-Flight Management System received a fix to correct the fuel flow page, which previously used incorrect units with the modern fuel system. NavData was updated to correct path point threshold crossing height values.

MSFS 2024 Career Mode received a fix for visibility and wind information not appearing consistent between the world map and briefing. Medevac missions received fixes to rerouting behavior, flight plan behavior upon IFR cancellation, and gate/waypoint marker behavior when switching to rerouted flight plans.
