In a post on the Microsoft Flight Simulator Website, Microsoft announced the formal release of Sim Update 5.1 for Flight Simulator 2024. This brings MSFS 2024 up to version 1.7.35.0.
It appears that June is the month of updates. NVIDIA released a new graphics driver (610.62) two weeks ago, while AMD released a new driver the same day as the Sim Update on the 29th of June.
Sim Update 5.1 is focused on quality-of-life fixes and doesn’t include any major additions to the platform.

Playstation 5 pilots will benefit the most from SU5.1, as it includes several WASM related fixes, improved memory usage, improved terrain degradation when memory is running low, and a fix for heavy cargo missions in Career Mode.
All users stand to benefit from improved texture handling, improved memory usage, improved terrain degradation in low memory situations, and Career Mode now factoring in runway lighting to determine mission availability.
