MOZA made their debut on the flight sim hardware market last weekend at FSExpo in Las Vegas with their impressive new lineup of force-feedback products, including a stick, a yoke, a throttle and pedals. Now a week on from North America’s largest annual flight simulation convention, the company has made some of these products available for pre-order.
If you didn’t get a chance to see Moza Racing’s impressive new hardware on display at their booth on the show floor, take a look at our video where our very own Managing Editor Jordan speaks with Wendy from Moza Racing and takes a close-up look at some of the products!
Available now for pre-order are the AB9 Force Feedback base, the MH16 flight stick and Z-Axis extension module.
The AB9 Base is a pre-requisite for the other two products and represents a new entry into the force feedback flight controls market which hasn’t seen this many new products in some time. The AB9 comes with a force feedback algorithm which will ensure you get a realistic and authentic feel of your flight controls, from the stick wobbling while taxiing on the ground to feeling firmer and more difficult to move when pulling sharp maneuvers or travelling at higher speeds.
Dual high-torque motors built into the product are the driving force behind these realistic sensations, as well as a high-resolution encoder to guarantee smooth and precise control inputs. These can be extensively customised and fine-tuned to your liking with the MOZA Cockpit Control Software.
The stick is finished in an aviation-grade aluminium alloy, built from high-quality durable materials for a professional appearance, and is now available to pre-order for $549/ € 599.00/ £549.00/ AUD 999.00/ JPY 88,900.00
Next in the product line is the MOZA MH16 Flight Stick. The stick has the classic look of a fighter aircraft control, with 27 inputs and detachable modular components that can be removed with pogo pin connections. These allow the user to customise the stick beyond the base specification with additional buttons and switches without the need for complex wiring.
Included with the base pack however are 27 input signals which can be customised to the user’s liking, and 8-way ALPS thumb stick and hat switch. This all comes in the same premium alloy finish found on the base.
The MOZA team say that the stick is compatible with most bases, and offers instant plug-and-play convenience.
The MH16 Flightstick is now available to pre-order for $169.00/ € 189.00/ £169.00/ AUD 299.00/ JPY 28,900.00
Finally, there is the Z-Axis module. This extension kit adds 97mm of length to the flight controls, giving the user additional precision control over their aircraft. Along with a yaw control axis with +/- 20 degree range, there is a 16-bit high-resolution hall sensor and the same polished metal finish we see on the stick and base. This module is available for pre-order for $79.00/ € 89.00/ £79.00/ AUD 139.00/ JPY 12,900.00
The additional MOZA products, namely the throttle and rudder pedals, are not yet available. When they are, though, FSElite will be the first to bring you the news!
