It wasn’t long ago that MM Simulations teased Skiathos Airport (LGSK) as its next project, and now the Greek island destination has already been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Skiathos is perhaps best known amongst aviation enthusiasts for its particularly low approaches over the beach and road at the end of the runway. Combined with a runway measuring around 1,600 metres, it’s a destination that should provide a bit of a challenge for those flying the usual selection of summer charter and low-cost services.
MM Simulations’ rendition features detailed terminal interiors, custom airport buildings and facilities, bespoke ground markings and a fully modelled control tower interior. The runway and surrounding terrain have also been handcrafted, with additional local landmarks helping to build out the scenery beyond the airport perimeter.
Realistic night lighting is also included, and the entire scenery has been developed natively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
