After five years since releasing the original Izmir Airport scenery for MSFS, MM Simulations has released an upgraded version of their first project, now with comptability for MSFS 2024.
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (LTBJ/ADB) is the primary international gateway for Turkey’s third largest city, Izmir. The airport is named after former Turkish prime minister, Andan Menderes, who was in power from 1950-1960. Izmir Airport ranks as Turkey’s fifth busiest airport, but has been seeing steady increases in passenger numbers over the past couple of years. This growth is fueled by the airport being a focus city for Turkish Airlines and an operating base for Corendon Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, and SunExpress. To accomodate the growing demand, Izmir Airport constructed a new remote parking apron and refurbished many of the exisiting taxiways.

As mentioned in MM Simulations’ Facebook post, everything has been upgraded with their Izmir Airport V2 scenery. From the custom terminal interiors, up-to-date airport layout, and detailed textures, Izmir Airport has a brand new look and feel. In addition, with the custom exterior surroundings and terrain, MM Simulations’ rendition of Izmir Airport will provide an immersive experience whether you’re flying within Turkey or doing a long-haul flight.
You can now purchase MM Simulations’ Izmir Airport V2 for MSFS 2020/2024 from Contrail for $23.54. However, at the time of writing, Contrail is offering a 10% discount on the scenery for $21.18.
Update: Izmir v1 owners can purchase the new version at a discounted price across all platforms if they previously owned the airport. The reason the Contrail amount is cheaper is to reflect the fact the original v1 was never released on that store and gives everyone a chance who wants to buy through Contrail the same price.
