MKStudios Releases Dublin International Airport for MSFS

Guinness lovers rejoice! Following recently published previews, the development team over at MKStudios has just released their highly anticipated Dublin Airport (EIDW) scenery for MSFS via both the simMarket Online Store as well as ORBX Direct.

Dublin International Airport (EIDW) is considered being the main gateway to the Republic of Ireland, serving the capital city of Dublin and its surrounding area. The airport serves as the central hub for Irish flag carrier and AIG member airline, Aer Lingus, and low-cost giant Ryanair. It is considered the 12th busiest airport within Europe by passenger numbers, having seen 31.9 Mio. passengers pass through its doors in 2019.

The airport began construction back in 1937, following the Irish government’s creation of Aer Lingus, with the inaugural flight taking place in the year 1940, destination having been Liverpool. While, during WWII, the airfield saw limited service, following the cessation of hostilities on the European mainland, several international services were established, with the first coming in the form of KLM operated flights to Amsterdam. Today, the airport sees numerous domestic and international connections served by a large variety of international carriers, with long-haul services including Etihad Airways to Abu Dhabi; Emirates to Dubai; and Delta Air Lines to New York JFK, to name but a few.

Famed scenery development studio MKStudios has just released its faithfully recreated rendition of this important Irish and European hub. According to the developers, the scenery is more than only a simple port over from the already previously released P3D and XP11 version of the field. The scenery promises a fully immersive and detailed recreation of Dublin International Airport (EIDW), including up-to-date ground and stand layout according to real-world changes, accurately modeled terminal interiors, AI compatibility, and significant performance optimization.

The scenery can now be purchased by interested customers via either the simMarket Online Store or via ORBX Direct for €16.50 E.x. VAT.  It is worth mentioning, that those already previously having purchased the P3D or XP11 version of the scenery, are entitled to the special upgrade price of €10.00 E.x. VAT.

Feature List

  • Fully detailed rendition of Dublin Airport
  • Up to date ground layout and stands according to the real-world changes
  • Modeled Terminal interior
  • AI compatible
  • Optimized for high performance.
