Hot off the heels of their release of Fuerteventura Airport yesterday, MK-Studios has shared some new previews for their upcoming Rome Fiumicino Airport (LIRF). Rome Fiumicino is the largest and busiest airport in Italy. Fiumicino is considered one of the busiest airports in Europe in terms of passenger count with 43 million passengers served in 2018. The main carriers based in Rome include Alitalia and Vueling.
The three previews give an indication of the detail that MK-Studios are aiming for with their upcoming release. The first render shows the landside area with numerous airport signage, road markings and other objects that are found only at Rome Fiumicino. The next gives us a much clearer overview of the airport as a whole, with the majority of the main airport modelled. Finally, a sneak peek at a smaller area showing the level of detail on emergency signage. All of this pointing to a realistic-looking rendition of the Italian airport.
A complete rebuild of Rome Fiumincino Airport by MK-Studios was first announced during their 2020 roadmap. Despite the long development time, we have seen a few previews of the airport in the past.
We are expecting a development update from MK-Studios later this week and we’ll keep you posted on any new developments at that time.
