MK Studios has re-released Tenerife North for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The release follows the recent release of Tenerife South V2, which was released just over a month ago. While the developer has made the counterpart of the scenery, Tenerife North, now also available for MSFS 2024, it should be noted that this is not a new scenery. It simply features the old Prepar3D scenery that’s now made compatible with and available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer adds a disclaimer that the level of detail and quality don’t reflect the current standards of MK Studios.
Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport (GCXO) is a smaller airport located on the northern part of Tenerife. The airport serves a number of European airlines with several seasonal and year-round destinations, but the main airport for Tenerife remains Tenerife South Airport. Tenerife North, then named Tenerife Los Rodeos Airport, was also the site of one of aviation’s deadliest accidents, involving a Pan Am and KLM 747.
MK Studios’ Tenerife North is available for free through the Contrail shop. Unfortunately the developer is not able to publish the airport for free through the MSFS Marketplace.
