Developer MK-Studios has sent FSElite a number of screenshots for its upcoming release of Porto Airport (LPPR) on Micorosft Flight Simulator. Announced initially in the MK-Studios 2021 roadmap, the airport appears to be quite along in development with the previews showcasing numerous parts of the airport.
The Portuguese airport is situated in the north of the country and sees plenty of traffic visit. Passenger numbers and operators increased dramatically during the late 2010s (before COVID), meaning there are plenty of destinations to visit from the airport in the simulator. Ryanair has a large hub at the airport, whilst easyJet, Vueling and Wizz Air all have a presence at the airport.
The previews sent show numerous airport details, 3D models and more.
MK-Studios last confirmed that Porto will be coming to both Microsoft Flight Simulator and Prepar3D. Porto isn’t the only airport the developers are working on, as they continue to bring Rome Fiumicino to Prepar3D. This follows on from releases Ponta Delgada and Fuerteventura on Microsoft Flight Simulator.
