In a surprising move for MK Studios, they are soon to release Naha Airport (ROAH) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is their first entry into the Asian airport market and are hoping to impress the community with the new release.
Naha Airport is Japan’s 6th busiest airport and brings passengers and cargo to Okinawa Prefecture. This small island is in the Southern-most part of Japan and has direct links to China, South Korea, Hong Kong, and of course, mainland Japan. What is fairly unique is the fact that several airlines operate short-haul routes with heavy jets.
MK Studios also gave us insight into what we can expect from the airport when it is released. Expect up-to-date ground layouts and stands, custom jetways, accurate runway profiles, and also custom approach, runway, and taxiway lighting. There will also be various points of interest, a detailed coastline model and also accurate ground layout.
Finally, it is confirmed that the release is planned for next Thursday (8th August 2024). We will keep you posted.
