MK Studios Announces Miami Airport in Development

MK Studios has officially confirmed that Miami International Airport (KMIA) is in active development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

In a brief development update shared on social media, the developer revealed that work on the airport is already underway, with a planned release scheduled for the second half of Q3 2026. New preview images were also shared, offering a very brief look at the progress being made on one of the busiest airports in the United States.

Before virtual pilots can head to Miami, MK Studios says it plans to release both Tenerife South Airport and Vagar Airport, which are expected to arrive ahead of KMIA.

With MK Studios at FlightSimExpo 2026, we expect to hear and see more from the team about Miami then. Stay tuned to FSElite for more.
