In a rather surprising announcement, MK Studios has announced Adelaide Airport (YPAD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
Adelaide Airport (YPAD) is South Australia’s main aviation hub, located just 6km from the city centre. Operating a single terminal for both domestic and international flights, it’s served by major carriers including Qantas, Virgin, and Singapore Airlines. As Australia’s fifth-busiest airport, its modern layout and regional importance make it a strong candidate for detailed scenery in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
This announcement came from nowhere from the team, as it was never mentioned in their roadmap before. That said, the team say that they are close to releasing, with the target date set for next week. As for features, they are promising us an “extremely detailed” rendition of the airport, with interior modelling, detailed surroundings and the ability to walk the jetways (FS2024 only).

We will keep you posted on this Australian airport once we learn more, including the release time and price.
