A new minor update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is now available. Its primary focus is on improving stability for users with NVIDIA graphics cards and also for those on Xbox.
According to the official release notes, the update addresses several known crash issues impacting both PC and Xbox platforms. On NVIDIA-equipped systems, an intermittent crash at startup has been resolved, along with a GPU allocation corruption caused by empty vector shapes — a bug that was triggering crashes over the southern island of New Zealand when using DirectX 12 and World Update 12. Xbox users will also see a fix for a crash related to input handling.
For developers and add-on creators, a random crash in SimConnect that could occur when data definitions were cleared while still in use has also been resolved.
You can get the update by launching Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The changelog is below.
