MiniCockpit’s first product, the MiniFCU which we covered on FSElite yesterday, has sold over 1000 units and raised over $100,000 in just ten minutes of being sale.
Simmers looking to pick up one of only 1000 units being sold at a discounted launch day rate of $882HKD (approximately $100USD) needed to very quickly enter their card details as all of the units were gone by 17:05 BST, just 5 minutes after the project launched on the team’s Kickstarter page.
The “Super Early Bird” pledge tier – which had a limited quantity of 250 units but was not tied to any time limit – had also sold over 75% of it’s stock by 17:15 BST at a price of $1006HKD (approximately $129USD).
The lightning fast sale period now means that the start up hardware company has raised over $150,000USD at the time of writing, with a rolling tally of pledges continually ticking upwards.
For simmers who would still like to pick up a miniCockpit, it is worth looking at the team’s Kickstarter to see what is left as the units continue to sell rapidly, even at the higher pledge tiers.
Following the development and release of the MiniFCU, MiniCockpit are intending to complete their airbus cockpit line-up with the miniEFIS and miniECAM, before finally launching the miniFCU Deluxe Version which will comprise of the three separate units contained in a single panel.
FSElite has approached MiniCockpit for comment.
