MilViz Will Share More SR-71 Details In Early 2022

MilViz has shared some new previews on the SR-71 over on Facebook. As progress on the SR-71 for Microsoft Flight Simulator continues, the development team wanted to share a few new images, along with setting expectations on when we can learn more about the aircraft.

In order to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the SR-71’s first flight, MilViz decided to share some new images as things currently stand with the Blackbird. They said that the cockpit is currently being retextured following an “extensive model overhaul” and that the systems are coming along nicely. However, that’s the new information from the team on the aircraft so far. MilViz did, however, confirm that we will learn more in the first quarter of 2022.

Whilst we do wait on new details, MilViz said that they’re aiming for “a whole new level with this [aircraft]” so we’re expecting big things when we learn more in the first quarter of 2022.

If you’re hoping to see the SR-71 appear on Prepar3D, then you will be sad to hear that MilViz confirmed it will not come to Lockheed Martin’s platform.

As always, we’ll keep you up to date with the latest from MilViz’s SR-71 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
