Microsoft Updates Expert Series: ATR 42-600 / 72-600 Expansion for MSFS

The ATR series has been updated with new models included.

The ATR 42-600 / 72-600 Expansion was released back in April for Microsoft Flight Simulator as the first in a new ‘Expert Series’ of add-on aircraft. Developed by S&H Simulations, the plane has been something many wanted to see improved since its release. That time has come with a new version now available for users to download.

Alongside a large number of changes and fixes, the new update also adds two new ATR variants to fly around. This includes the ATR 42-600S (STOL) and the ATR 72-600F (Freighter). With both of these new variants added, you now have a suite of ATR aircraft to fly around.

As for the changes, the full changelog down below gives us a good idea of what has changed. This includes many fixes to the system’s logic, modelling in some areas, and also various other areas. Furthermore, it saw changes to the EFB, now ensures the correct fuel flow rate happens in idle, and much more.

You can learn more about the ATR-42-600 and the 72-600 expansions for Microsoft Flight Simulator in the trailer above. You can download your copy from the in-sim Marketplace for Xbox Series X|S and PC with Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows, and Steam, and on Xbox One and supported mobile phones, tablets, and lower-spec PCs via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
