The latest World Update is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. World Update IX: Italy and Malta is the biggest World Update yet released by the MSFS team and updates a stunning area of the world with all-new details.
World Update IX: Italy and Malta focus on the countries mentioned with all new terrain data, additional photogrammetry cities and more. Cities such as Roma, Milan, Venice, and Paestum have been updated to include the latest photogrammetry data, bringing a realistic look to these places in the simulator.
Also included with the new World Update are four brand-new hand-crafted airports. These include Palermo Airport (LICJ), Sondrio airport (LILO), Marina di Campo Airport (LIRJ) and finally Bolzano Airport (LIPB).
As with recent World Updates, there are new missions to discover. This includes three new landing challenges, additional discovery flights over Italy and a range of bush missions to get the most of the new landmarks.
Speaking of new landmarks, 94 new points of interest have been included as part of this World Update. Landmarks include the Castle Of Serravalle, Piazza Dei Miracoli (Torre Di Pisa), St. Paul’s Cathedral and Vatican City.
The World Update also brings with it a minor simulator update, bringing Microsoft Flight Simulator to build 1.25.9.0. The new update improves airport data for a number of airports and the latest nav AIRAC data.
