Today, Microsoft Flight Simulator was supposed to see World Update 8: Iberia released for PC and Xbox users. However, today, the team has decided to postpone the release by a few days.
Taking to their social accounts and forums, the Microsoft Flight Simulator team said that the delay was due to recent events within the world of aviation. The new release date for World Update 8: Iberia is now Thursday, March 24th @ 09:00z.
The statement reads, “in light of recent tragic aviation news, we have made the decision to postpone our release of World Update VIII: Iberia until Thursday, March 24th at 2:00 AM PDT (0900Z). We extend our deepest condolences to those affected by this event.“
Portugal and Spain will see visual improvements, new airports and more in World Update 8. In total, there are 99 points of interest being worked on, 4 new airports, new missions and of course new photogrammetry cities.
Once the update drops, along with its changelog, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Our thoughts are with those affected by the tragic event that unfolded yesterday.
