Over on the Flight Simulator blog website, Microsoft has added their weekly update for the upcoming sim. This week includes a new feedback snapshot, updates to the Alpha, an update on deliverables, and more. Lets get right into it.
Alpha
Starting off, Microsoft has announced that users are now once again able to register for the Insider Program/Pre-release build testing. Those who have already signed up can also go ahead and update their DxDiag information if they so wish.
Moving on to information on the next Alpha build, the team is currently wrapping up final testing on Alpha 1.3.X.X. This update to the Alpha will include updates and bug fixes, and will include the Boeing 747 for community testing. Details on the build notes will be released when the build is released.
As for invites, the team is currently finishing up step 1 of what they listed, and will be transitioning over to step 2 soon. New invites are planned to be sent out with the release of the upcoming 1.3.X.X build.
- Ensure that everyone that received an acceptance email has access to the Alpha.
- STATUS – We are VERY close to completing this process
- Assess Alpha participation options for adding more people as quickly as possible.
- Prioritize access for those that registered early for pre-release build testing.
- STATUS – New invites will be sent with the release of build 1.3.X.X.
Machine Specs
A few days ago, Microsoft also released what the minimum, recommended, and ideal PC specifications were going to be for the upcoming sim. You can check it out here.
Deliverables Update
For the upcoming deliverables, items have been pushed back compared to last weeks update. The Partnership Series update is now scheduled for May, along with episode 8 of the Feature Discovery Series, which will be in May as well. Not indication of which part of May was given.
Feedback Snapshot
A new version of the Feedback Snapshot was published on the Insider Area.
Community Screenshots
Plenty of new screenshots were added to the update page, showing some up close details of the Airbus A320, some of the airport environment, plenty of landscapes, and more.
