Microsoft is back from their holiday break and has provided the community with a new update on their development blog. This update is mostly a reminder of the upcoming Tech Alpha 2, with the feedback snapshot now made publically available to those not Insiders.
Those who were disappointed at not being selected for Tech Alpha 1 will be pleased to hear that additional invites are being sent out this week.
In addition, further news regarding Tech Alpha 2 has been shared. Starting on 20th January, the Tech Alpha 2 invites will be sent out. A week later, the new alpha will be available to download and testing can begin for those with access. Microsoft aims to have all wave 1 Tech Alpha 2 emails sent. As a reminder, those in the first tech alpha will be automatically selected for access to Tech Alpha 2.
- 01.20 – Begin sending Tech Alpha 2 invitations.
- 01.27 – All Tech Alpha 2 invitations sent.
- 01.27 – Tech Alpha 2 ready for download, begin sending build access emails.
- 01.31 – All wave 1 Tech Alpha 2 emails sent.

Interestingly, seasons are noted to be in the top wish list and as you may have seen earlier this month, seasons were then confirmed to be part of the new simulator. You can watch the “Let It Snow” video here.
