Before the US holiday of Thanksgiving, the team at Microsoft Flight Simulator gave us the news that this week would see the release of the first of two updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This first release was intended on being a smaller hotfix addressing a number of issues since the simulator’s launch, with the next one being a big bigger in scale.
This first update, version 1.1.10.0 is now available to download and apply to your simulator. The new update fixes some stability and performance issues, along with fixing broken jetways. Some aircraft fixes have also been deployed, along with some new tags in the MyLibrary to indicate if a product has not yet been verified by the creator to work with MSFS 2024. The full changelog is down below.
As with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, you should rename or move your ‘Community Folder’ packages before updating the simulator and then you can put them back as they were prior.
Microsoft and Asobo will be live on Wednesday 4th December in their regular Developer Q&A session where they will no doubt be discussing the launch of the new sim and what future updates will look like. We are also expecting a second hotfix later next week.
