After 20 years of the MegaScenery brand and hundreds of thousands of flight simulation enthusiasts from around the world enjoying their scenery, MegaSceneryEarth is closing down on 31 December 2025.
The reasons behind the decision are that creating new scenery for FSX, FSX Steam Edition and Prepa3D and reaching and finding new customers to purchase it is no longer a sustainable operation, and maintaining their servers was also not sustainable, especially with an increasing number of flight simmers using new simulators such as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12.
You can continue to order MegaSceneryEarth titles until December 31, 2025. In anticipation that some users may want to own the entire USA Lower 48 States, MegaSceneryEarth has created a deal that will enable you to get the entire USA Lower 48 States for $99.95.
While you can only order MegaSceneryEarth until 31 December 2025, they will still maintain the ability for users to download and redownload any previous purchases until 31 December 2026. Please ensure that you have downloaded and made at least 2 offline backup copies of your BGL files because you will no longer be able to download after this date.
They will keep the activation server online permanently, so you will be able to reinstall and reactivate your scenery permanently.
