Scenery developer Marcus Nyberg is close to finalising a substantial update for Malmö Airport (ESMS), with changes significant enough to nearly constitute a Version 2. Known for his detailed Swedish airport scenery, Nyberg continues to bring a refreshed experience to one of Sweden’s key regional airports.
The update introduces a fully overhauled terminal interior, with sharp new detailing in the check-in and arrivals areas. Airside, users can expect upgraded taxiway lighting—complete with edge lights and realistic splash effects for signage—alongside numerous optimisations to improve visual fidelity and performance.

As per the social media post, Marcus said that the key improvements are as follows:
- Crisp new interiors for the terminal
- Updated satellite imagery
- Enhanced landside environment
- New taxiway lighting and signage splash
- Re-optimised buildings and improved textures
- In-progress support for MSFS 2024 compatibility
This major update will be free of charge for all customers.
