Majestic Shares Development Update on Q400 Training Edition

In a recent post, the Majestic Software team took to their forums, providing community members with a status update regarding their DeHavilland DHC8-Q400 Series aircraft.

Majestic begins their post by stating that the keenly anticipated the release of their DHC8-Q400 Training Edition will be delayed. The developers indicate that the delay ensued from the release of P3Dv5 and the changes that had to be made to their Pilot and Pro version.

The developer is still waiting for Lockheed Martin to implement the Prepar3D Development Kit (PDK) feature set required, in order for the Control Panel (CPAN) to be fully compatible with the platform. In addition, Majestic reassured readers that the development of their Flight Data Recorder (FDR) is proceeding at full steam.

The developer also indicates that the cockpit version, aimed at home cockpit builders, is currently in development. Although not able to provide a fixed release date yet, Majestic claims that things are progressing quite well.

Finally, Majestic also lets readers know that both the Pilot and Pro version of the turboprop has not been forgotten. Following the release of the Training and Cockpit versions, all versions of the airframe are to receive extensive updates. Community support for enhancements such as the implementation of TrueGlass and PBR texturing has already been duly noted. Additionally, a Suggestions post has been created in their forum to which community members are invited to follow and contribute.

Regarding MSFS, Majestic continues to wait for Asobo to update its SDK before further delving into the development of its Q400 for the new platform.

As always, we will keep you updated regarding any further developments but in the meantime, feel free to check out Majestic’s post for yourself here.
