Majestic Software has issued on their forums an official statement regarding the compatibility of their Dash 8 Q400.
While the developers aknowledge that the aircraft seem to work on Prepar3D V5 out of the box, there are a few things that need minor tweaks. The developer stated that they were concerned with the current issues of Prepar3D V5, some of them linked to the DirectX 12 API. Subsequently, Majestic Software plans to release the official compatibility patches only after the first hotfix of P3D V5 is released, and once the team is sure they are able to tackle down the issues they have found.
It is to be noted that while it is probably on its way, there has been no official hint whereas a hotfix is currently under development.
The issues Majestic Software will address in their compatibility patch are as follows :
- External Visual artifacts
- Sound adjustments based on the use on the new DX12
- CPAN functionality for specific items related to aircraft, most items can still be changed via the mjc84.ini
Meanwhile, if you have not done so already, you can take a look at the FSElite Prepar3D V5 Upgrade Hub.
