Maddog X Series Coming to MSFS 2024 As a Native Free Upgrade

The Maddog X MD-82 series was one of the first high-fidelity aircraft to be released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It has since received a number of free updates improving the product to no end. Now, the developers Leonardo Softhouse has confirmed that they will be bringing their plane to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

In a statement on their forums, they said it has been a “learning curve” to get to grips with the new platform, but they are working on the platform to ensure a “smooth experience for everyone.” Leonardo Softhouse has confirmed that they will be bringing the Maddog X to MSFS 2024 as a “native upgrade” as a free update. The release is “just [around] the corner”, meaning we won’t have to wait long until we get this plane in our new sim.

Further to this, the team confirmed that an “optional expansion” will be coming in the future that will bring new 3D modelling, improved textures and sounds. No ETA or previews of that are available yet as it is still in the early stages. They did conclude that the team is “confident that the final result will be worth the wait.”
