Lockheed Martin has issued a new hotfix for Prepar3D v4.5. The new hotfix, available now, and brings the simulator to version 4.5.13.32097. The new hotfix brings a few new features along with additional improvements, particularly to Virtual Reality (VR).
According to the blog post made on Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D website, the new update improves the VR experience by automatically hiding the VR mouse cursor when not in use, providing additional calibration options and also the ability to enable eye tracking by default. In addition, a brand new Eye Tracking demonstration scenario has been added to guide a new pilot through a representative aircraft startup. Developers will also be pleased to hear that there has been several new additions to the Prepar3D Development Kit (PDK), which includes advanced VR interfaces.
As per usual with Prepar3D v4 updates, only the respected installer is required to update the simulator. In the case for Prepar3D v4.5 Hotfix 2, the majority of fixes are present in the Client Installer. However, there is a range of changes present in Content, Scenery and SDK installers. As always, be sure to check that your third-party add-ons work with the new hotfix before updating to prevent any issues after applying the hotfix.
