In a post on the Lockheed Martin Prepar3D website, Prepar3D v5 will release at 20:00 GMT (16:00 EST). That means you don’t have to spam your F5 key until that time. Alongside that information, Lockheed Martin also revealed the pricing for the next generation of Prepar3D.
Both the Professional and Academic licenses will remain at the same price as previous versions. This means the Professional license will cost $199 US with the Academic license costing $59.95 US. The Professional Plus license has, however, seen a price increase to $2,500 US compared to previous versions.
