Although they are still quite new to the flight simulator industry, LivToAir has been on the market with a few (slightly unusual) products for MSFS already. You may know them from their Zivko Edge540 v2, or their Aeromobil 3.0 Flying Car. They have even released a Kawasaki Ninja H2R motorcycle and a Chevrolet Corvette C8. And they just added another rather unconventional product to their flight simulator product line. The Eviation Alice, a fully electric fixed wing aircraft.
The Eviation Alice may not be an aircraft you’ve heard of yet, but it is in fact a real-world aircraft, that is electric and does actually have some flight hours. Not just that, but according to the Eviation website, the aircraft is already receiving orders from Air New Zealand, Cape Air and even for cargo variants from DHL.
The real-world aircraft has a maximum operating speed of 260ktas, a range of 250nm and a payload capacity of 2,500 lbs.
Coming back to MSFS and LivToAir, their Alice features custom electric systems, a custom G3000 suite, an EFB with 6 different apps, including an app for flight planning. It also comes with a working charger, and it comes in three different variants:
- Commuter
- Cargo
- Luxury
The aircraft also comes with 1 Cargo livery, 6 Commuter liveries and 7 Luxury liveries by default.
The MSFS version does differ in specifications from its real-world counterpart though, as the one made by LivToAir has a max speed of 300ktas and a range of 450nm. That’s a solid 40 knots faster while being able to fly a whopping 200nm more. The reason why these numbers differ so drastically is that LivToAir has followed the manufacturer’s calculated performance, even though the performance of the first Alice prototype fell short on these calculations, hence the lower performance numbers provided by Eviation themselves.
You can try the Eviation Alice out yourself, by purchasing it from either SimMarket.com or Flightsim.to for around £20 excl. VAT. Beware though, the Eviation Alice is not Xbox compatible according to the product page on FlightSim.to.
