Lisium Design Releases Heraklion Airport for MSFS 2024

Lisium Design has released Heraklion International Airport (LGIR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The scenery recreates one of Greece’s busiest holiday gateways.

Lisium Design has released Heraklion International Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” (LGIR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Heraklion is particularly well known for its approaches over the Mediterranean coastline, with aircraft arriving just moments before touchdown over the sea. The airport’s close proximity to the city and surrounding mountainous terrain also makes it a distinctive destination for short-haul and holiday operations.

Lisium Design says the scenery has been built specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, taking advantage of the platform’s updated rendering and environmental systems. According to the developer, the airport has been recreated with accurate terminal modelling, custom ground textures, bespoke lighting, and detailed apron areas. The package also includes handcrafted terrain work, custom vegetation, and additional surrounding detail designed to better capture the airport’s coastal location.

You can buy it now from Contrail for €17.99 (excluding VAT).
