Whilst this community is often full of good news, this time, it’s not. A relatively new store called Let’s Sim had intentions of creating a dynamic and exciting new way of allowing the community to purchase and download content. I was in contact with the team for a while and they had some great ideas and started to build a nice ecosystem for developers to sell their content through. Sadly today, they announced that they will be shutting down for multiple reasons.
You can read the full statement on the Let’s Sim website, but the primary reason simply falls down to cash-flow. Of course any challenge like a store comes with certain risk, but it appears lady luck wasn’t with Dave and the team. They tried to be different, fun, engaging and offer something they felt the community needed. Sadly it hasn’t quite worked out for them.
So whilst they were relatively unknown to the community, it’s a shame to see a group of people with some innovative ideas not fully come to fruition. We wish the guys the best of luck in the future.
Note: this post was made together with FlightDeckX and HeliSimmer in solidarity with Dave and the Let’s Sim Team. A community should stick together. Always. That’s what we defend.
