LatinVFR Releases Baltimore/Washington International for MSFS

After teasing a preview on social media, scenery developer LatinVFR has finally brought their Baltimore/Washington International Airport scenery over to MSFS.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (KBWI) is a major hub for beloved low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines and is one of three major airports serving the Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas. In 2005, the airport was renamed from “Baltimore/Washington International Airport” to its current name to honor Thurgood Marshall, the first African American to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Despite being a Southwest Airlines fortress, the airport has slowly added key transatlantic services, including British Airways to London-Heathrow and Icelandair and PLAY to Reykjavik.

LatinVFR, like in its P3D scenery counterpart, has put a lot of work into the terminals’ modeling and exterior features. The scenery depicts the most up-to-date layout of BWI Airport, and all the airport buildings and ground textures were created using PBR materials. In addition, numerous ground vehicles and airport equipment are scattered throughout the facility for added realism. All and all, with the little details at each of the different terminals, it is really easy to get immersed in this scenery.

You can get your copy of LatinVFR’s latest scenery directly from their website for $16.99 USD. However, if you purchased LatinVFR’s BWI scenery for P3D, you can get a discount on the MSFS version using code KBWIMSFS.

  • Handmade and detailed PBR ground markings and textures according to the most recent airport situation
  • Handmade, realistic terminals, cargo buildings, and airport buildings using MSFS PBR materials
  • Usage of parallax materials on buildings
  • Realistic airport lighting
  • Customized and enhanced jetways
  • Accurate airport gate/parking to current real-world airport layout
