KwikFlight has released the Archangel for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, now available via the iniBuilds Store. The aircraft represents a high-altitude, high-speed reconnaissance platform rooted in Cold War-era aerospace design, offering simmers a rare opportunity to explore sustained flight at the upper extremes of the simulator’s performance envelope.
Its design prioritises speed, altitude, and efficiency at Mach 3+ cruise, with an airframe clearly shaped around the demands of thermal management and aerodynamic stability at extreme velocities. The plane is based on the Lockheed A-12, which was a top-secret CIA aircraft.

The aircraft is equipped with a custom cockpit and systems suite tailored for long-range, high-altitude operations. This includes bespoke instrumentation and a set of observational camera modes designed to simulate reconnaissance-style viewing, allowing pilots to observe terrain and weather patterns far below while operating at altitude.
There is also other features too, such as walk-up crew ladder, external power carts, and a drag parachute for high-speed landings. The parachute is full animated with realistic deceleration effects. You can also have fun with the air-to-air refuelling capability and also the native air show assistant support.
You can buy the KwikFlight Archangel from the iniBuilds store for £16.99 (excluding VAT).
